WHO WE ARE
The year 2020 will mark Navasota LP Gas Co., Inc.'s 74th year of continuous service to liquid petroleum consumers in Grimes and five surrounding counties. Owner Chad Ross is proud of the fact that the business, begun in 1946, has continued to flourish over the years, now serving over 2,000 satisfied customers.
Navasota LP Gas is a three-generation business, begun as Navasota Butane Gas Co. by the late Norman Bounds and his partner, William Clepper, after World War II. Bounds' grandson, Chad, is the company's current owner. The company remained as Navasota Butane Gas Co. until 1973, when the firm was incorporated as Navasota LP Gas Co.
All three family owners have played active roles in the Texas Propane Gas Association (TPGA), the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), and the Grimes County Chamber of Commerce over the past 74 years.
